عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ الرَّجُلَ يَلْبَسُ لِبْسَةَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْمَرْأَةَ تَلْبَسُ لِبْسَةَ الرَّجُلِ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the man who wears women's clothing and also cursed the woman who wears men's clothing.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Some types of clothing are common, both men and women can wear them, but some types and designs are specific to men, and some to women. In this hadith, wearing such clothing is being prohibited.
