Everywhere there is immodesty; the specter of half-naked female bodies is dancing about, and in the marketplaces, means of shamelessness, indecency, and immorality are readily available. Women have adorned themselves with garments worth two, even four thousand, yet despite this, they are without veils. Their faces are painted and decorated in such a way that the gazes of human wolves afflicted with sexual deviance become fixed upon them. The honor and protective jealousy (ghayrah) of parents has been carried to the grave, for their daughters are having their noses and ears pierced by street vendors, fitting bangles, and having henna designs drawn on their arms. May Allah protect us. This is the category that was not seen in the era of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
