Hadith 8137

It is narrated from Lamees, she says: I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) whether a woman can apply oil to make her face clearer in order to gain her husband's affection. She said: Keep it away from yourself, Allah Almighty does not look towards the woman who applies it. Another woman said to Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): O mother! Sayyida said: I am not your mother, I am your sister. Then Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray and sleep during the first twenty days (of Ramadan), but when the last ten days began, he would tighten his waistcloth and devote himself to worship.
