Hadith 8135

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمَوْصُولَةَ وَالْمُتَشَبِّهِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِالنِّسَاءِ وَالْمُتَشَبِّهَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ بِالرِّجَالِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who attaches hair, the one who gets hair attached, men who imitate women, and women who imitate men.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Any clothing or appearance that is specific to either men or women, it is not permissible for the other to adopt it. For example, men keeping long hair like women, choosing colors in clothing that are specific to women, men wearing bangles and earrings.
