عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَرَأَى أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَرَسًا مِنْ رِقَاعٍ فِي يَدِ جَارِيَةٍ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَرَى هَذَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا يَعْمَلُ هَذَا مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw a girl holding a horse made of pieces of cloth in her hand and said: Do you not see this? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The person who does this is the one who will have no share on the Day of Resurrection.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From these ahadith it is established that making images of things possessing a soul is haram, whether it is a human, an animal, a bird, or a beast. Regarding this, the Shari‘ah has issued much condemnation—indeed, even more than our estimation and understanding. But what can be said about the temperament of the present age? Every person is passionately fond of making their own movies and albums, and whatever deficiency remained has been fulfilled by camera-equipped mobile phones. Now, no one is even prepared to seriously listen to the Shari‘ah ruling.
