عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الثَّوْبِ الْمُصْمَتِ مِنْ قَزٍّ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَمَّا السَّدَى وَالْعَلَمُ فَلَا نَرَى بِهِ بَأْسًا
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that garment which is made entirely of silk. If the warp of the cloth is of silk or the embroidery is of silk, then we do not consider there to be any harm in it.
