عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ أَنَّ الزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا شَكَوَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقَمْلَ فَرَخَّصَ لَهُمَا فِي لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ فَرَأَيْتُ عَلَى كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا قَمِيصًا مِنْ حَرِيرٍ
. (Second chain) Sayyiduna Zubair bin Al-Awwam and Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with them both) complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about lice infestation, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted them to wear silk. The narrator says: I saw each of them wearing a silk shirt.
