Abu Abdur Rahman says: I heard from my father, he said: A group of hadith scholars came and sought permission to visit Abu Ashhab, he granted permission, they came and said to Abu Ashhab: Narrate hadith to us, he said: You ask questions, they said: We have no questions, then from behind the curtain his daughter said: Ask him about the hadith of ‘Arfajah bin As‘ad, whose nose was cut off on the day of Kilab.
