Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that jewelry was sent as a gift to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the Negus, among which was a gold ring with an Abyssinian stone. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) picked it up with a stick, turning away from it with some of his fingers, and then called his granddaughter, Lady Umamah (may Allah be pleased with her), and said: Dear daughter! Wear this as an ornament.
