Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a silk garment was presented as a gift to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) gave it to me, but when I went out wearing it, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That which I dislike for myself, I will not like for you either." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me, so I made scarves from it and distributed them between my womenfolk, Sayyida Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) and my paternal aunt.
