Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a gold ring made, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would keep its stone on the inside of his palm. People also had gold rings made, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) discarded it and had a silver ring made.
