عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الَّذِي يَشْرَبُ فِي إِنَاءِ فِضَّةٍ كَأَنَّمَا يُجَرْجِرُ فِي بَطْنِهِ نَارًا
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the one who drinks from a silver vessel: It is as if he is gulping down the fire of Hell into his belly.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Gold jewelry is permissible for women, but as far as the prohibition of gold and silver utensils is concerned, the ruling is the same for both men and women; these utensils are forbidden for men as well as for women.
