Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from five things: wearing silk and gold, drinking from gold and silver vessels, using red silk cushions, and wearing silk garments. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Is even a thin gold chain, with which a bracelet is fastened, not permissible? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, make it from silver or color it yellow with saffron.
