Hadith 7955

عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ وَعَنِ الْمِيثَرَةِ وَعَنِ الْقَسِّيِّ وَعَنِ الْجِعَةِ
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade me from (wearing) a gold ring, silk cushion, silk clothing, and barley nabidh.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Nabidh is, by consensus, permissible. In some types of nabidh, intoxication develops quickly; therefore, certain types have been deemed disliked. Otherwise, as long as intoxication has not developed in the nabidh, it will be permissible to drink it.
