عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ جُلُودِ السِّبَاعِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Usama bin Umair (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) forbade (the use of) the skins of predatory animals.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … There can be two reasons for the prohibition of (using) the skins of predatory animals: ➊ It is the habit of people of extravagance and arrogance that they use these skins; or ➋ due to the impurity (najasah) of these skins, their use has been prohibited.
