Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the use of red silk cushions, wearing silk clothes, and wearing a gold ring have been prohibited. Muhammad bin Sirin says: When I mentioned this to my brother Yahya bin Sirin, he said: Have you not heard this? Yes, and wearing a garment with silk borders is also prohibited.
