Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade silk cushions, silk clothing, gold rings, and extremely red garments. Yazid, the narrator, says: "Maisarah" refers to the skins of wild animals, "Qassi" is a fine, flower-patterned garment made of silk that is brought from Egypt, and a garment dyed deeply with the 'Usfur plant is called "Mufdam."
