Syedna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wore new clothes, he would mention its name, whether it was a shirt or a turban, and then recite this supplication: "O Allah! All praise is for You, You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of what it was made for, and I seek refuge with You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for." (O Allah! All praise is for You, You have clothed me with this (garment). I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of what it was made for, and I seek refuge with You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for.)
