Abu Matar Basri, who met Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) bought a cloth for three dirhams. When he wore it, he recited this supplication: "All praise is due to Allah, Who has provided me with fine clothing by which I adorn myself among people and with which I cover my private parts." And then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say the same.
