Hadith 7908

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا لَبِسْتُمْ وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأْتُمْ فَابْدَءُوا بِأَيَامِنِكُمْ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ بِمَيَامِنِكُمْ
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you put on clothes or perform ablution, begin from the right side.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is understood that when putting on a shirt (qamees), undershirt (baniyan), jersey, or trousers (shalwar), one should begin with the right arm or leg, but when removing them, one should start from the left side.
