Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) wearing a white garment and asked: "Is this new or has it been washed?" Ibn Umar says: I do not know what reply Sayyiduna Umar gave. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him this supplication: "Wear new clothes, live a praiseworthy life, and die a martyr's death." I think that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also gave this supplication: "May Allah grant you the coolness of your eyes in this world and the Hereafter."
