عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْخَطَمِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَلْعَبُ بِالنَّرْدِ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيُصَلِّي مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْقَيْحِ وَدَمِ الْخِنْزِيرِ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيُصَلِّي
Abdur Rahman Khatmi narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The person who plays backgammon and then goes to pray, his example is like that of a person who performs ablution with pus and the blood of a pig and then prays.
