Sayyiduna Sa'd bin 'Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I have seen everything from the era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), except for one thing from that time: that on the day of Eid al-Fitr, a display of play was presented before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From all these ahadith, it is established that the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum), in the presence of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), would express happiness in a permissible manner. This is allowed at times of joy, such as on Eid and at weddings and similar occasions, but those instruments should not be used which are impermissible.
