Hadith 7876

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me and two slave girls with me were beating the drum. He scolded them, but the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Leave them, indeed every nation has a festival (on which they rejoice).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is established that young girls may beat the duff (small drum) and recite permissible speech, whether in verse or prose. We too should adopt this manner of expressing joy on occasions of marriage and Eid, rather than engaging in false customs that involve immodesty and lack of veiling.
