Hadith 7854

۔عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((رَأَیْتُ فِیمَا یَرَی النَّائِمُ کَأَنِّی مُرْدِفٌ کَبْشًا وَکَأَنَّ ظُبَۃَ سَیْفِی انْکَسَرَتْ فَأَوَّلْتُ أَنِّی أَقْتُلُ صَاحِبَ الْکَتِیبَۃِ وَأَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَہْلِ بَیْتِی یُقْتَلُ۔))
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw a dream, as a sleeping person sees a dream, that I had seated a ram behind me and the blade of my sword was broken. I interpreted this to mean that a man from the enemy army would be killed and a man from my household would be martyred.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The standard-bearer of the enemies was Talhah bin Abi Talhah, and among the household of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Sayyiduna Hamzah radi Allahu anhu had been martyred.
