عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ كَذَبَ فِي الرُّؤْيَا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately lies in a dream, let him prepare his abode in Hell.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … People, for the sake of their fame, reputation, and good name, resort to fabricated dreams. In these ahadith, relating a dream contrary to reality has been described as the greatest falsehood, and a warning of punishment has also been given for it.
