It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: One day I went out with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when suddenly a deer appeared and it turned to the left side. I clung to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Have you taken it as a bad omen? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A bad omen is that which prompts one to act or turns one back from doing something.
