It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Hakam Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Tell us about those things which we used to do in the days of ignorance, for example, we used to take bad omens." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is a thing which you may feel in your heart, but it should not become an obstacle for you." I said: "One thing was also that we used to go to soothsayers and astrologers." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not go to soothsayers."
