عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أُخْتِ نَمِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا صَفَرَ وَلَا هَامَّةَ
Sayyiduna Nimir (may Allah be pleased with him)'s nephew, Sayyiduna Sa'ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no contagious disease, nor is there (any ill omen in) Safar, nor is there any bad luck in the owl.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From the ahadith of this chapter, it is understood that no illness is contagious, whereas from the ahadith of the following chapter, it is established that illness can be contagious. The methods of reconciliation and harmonization will be presented at the end of the upcoming chapter.
