عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَلَمًا فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ حَيْثُ يَجِدُ أَلَمَهُ ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you is afflicted with pain, he should place his hand where it hurts and recite this supplication seven times: "A'udhu bi 'izzatillahi wa qudratihi 'ala kulli shay'in min sharri ma ajidu." (I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I find.)
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In these hadiths, there is mention of many supplications (duas) through which ruqyah (spiritual healing) is performed. One should be diligent in reciting these supplications. In addition to these, there are further supplications as well as verses and surahs from the Noble Qur’an.
