It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when it was said to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that so-and-so is ill and is not eating food, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: Prepare a dish of bread crumbs mixed with broth and give it to him to drink sip by sip. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, it cleans your stomach just as you clean dirt from your face.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From these ahadith it is established that a drink was prepared by mixing olive oil, flour, and water, which was extremely beneficial for the sick. This is called "hisaa." And for a patient, this was a method of treatment. That which was made from flour and honey was called "talbina." This too was a very effective treatment, because sattu flour was added to it and it was boiled in water. It reduces the excessive heat of the body, acts as a diuretic, quenches thirst, and lessens the intensity of heat. Five times as much water should be added to it and it should be boiled until two-fifths of it remains. This medicine is very light for the patient and effective in the treatment of illnesses.
