(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I saw the daughter of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), on the day of Uhud, that she took a piece of mat, burned it, and with its ashes filled the blessed wounds on the face of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and water was brought in a shield, with which she first cleaned the blood from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
