Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that on the day of Uhud, Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) was struck by an arrow on the vein of his arm. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that his arm be cauterized.
