عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ الشِّفَاءُ فِي ثَلَاثَةٍ شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ وَشَرْطَةِ مِحْجَمٍ وَكَيَّةِ نَارٍ وَأَنْهَى أُمَّتِي عَنِ الْكَيِّ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), he says: There is healing in three things: drinking honey, cupping, and cauterization with fire, but I forbid my Ummah from cauterization.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Apparently, this narration is mawquf (halted at the Companion), but the final sentence indicates that it is a marfu‘ (attributed to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) narration. In any case, in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sunan Ibn Majah, this entire narration is established as marfu‘.
