Hadith 7648

عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَيْرُ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ الْحِجَامَةُ وَالْقُسْطُ الْبَحْرِيُّ وَلَا تُعَذِّبُوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ بِالْغَمْزِ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the things you use for treatment, the best means of cure is what you do by cupping and using Indian aloeswood, and do not cause pain to your children by putting your finger in their throats.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If the uvula of a child descends into the throat, it should not be brought back to its place by poking with a finger, because this causes much pain. It should be treated with some medicine instead.
