Hadith 7618

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ذَكَاةُ الْجَنِينِ ذَكَاةُ أُمِّهِ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For the fetus, the slaughtering done by its mother is sufficient.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From these ahadith it is understood that if a pregnant animal is slaughtered and its offspring is taken out from its womb, and it is found dead, then it will still be lawful (halal). If it is alive, then it must be slaughtered separately.
