Hadith 7612

عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ ذِئْبًا نَيَّبَ فِي شَاةٍ فَذَبَحُوهَا بِمَرْوَةٍ فَرَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَكْلِهَا
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a wolf bit a goat, but then the people slaughtered it with a stone. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted them to eat it.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If a predatory animal injures a lawful (halal) animal, and it is found alive and then slaughtered, it will still be lawful (halal). The same ruling applies to any animal that becomes injured in any way.
