Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a young man from Banu Salamah came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I saw a rabbit, which I struck with a stone, then I did not have a knife with which to slaughter it, so I slaughtered it with a stone. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Eat it.
