Sayyiduna ‘Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling regarding the game animal that dies due to being struck by the middle thick part of an arrow. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If the game is struck by the sharp edge of the arrow and it penetrates into it, then eat it. But if the middle part of the arrow strikes and kills the game, then it is like an animal killed with a stick, so do not eat it.”

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The middle part of an arrow is merely like a stick; this is called “mi‘raadh.” If an animal hunted with it dies, it will be unlawful (haram), because this part of the arrow does not have the ruling of a blade, nor does it become embedded in the prey.
