It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim Ta’i (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that our land is very suitable for hunting, if any of us shoots an arrow at game and the game disappears for a day or two, and then it is found and the same arrow is present in it? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you find your arrow in it and there are no marks of any other arrow, and you know that it was your arrow that killed it, then you may eat it. In another narration, it is stated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you see your arrow lodged in it and no beast has eaten from it, then you may eat that game.
