. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the use of vessels made from gourds, pitchers, containers made by hollowing out trunks, and vessels coated with pitch, and also forbade making nabidh by mixing unripe dates with ripe dates. Sa'id bin Jubair says: I said to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): Tell me, if a man makes nabidh in a green pitcher and it is as clear as glass and he drinks it at night, is this not permissible? He said: Will you not refrain from that which the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden you?
