Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the use of vessels made from gourds, pitchers, tar-coated vessels, and vessels carved from date-palm trunks. He (peace and blessings be upon him) also forbade making nabidh (fermented drink) by mixing unripe and ripe dates together.
