Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not make nabidh (a drink) by mixing fresh dates and unripe dates, or dried dates and raisins together; rather, make nabidh from each one separately. Yahya bin Kathir says: I asked Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah about this, and he narrated to me from his father regarding it.
