عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْخَمْرُ مِنْ هَاتَيْنِ الشَّجَرَتَيْنِ النَّخْلَةِ وَالْعِنَبَةِ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَنْبِذُوا التَّمْرَ وَالزَّبِيبَ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَنْبِذُوا الْبُسْرَ وَالتَّمْرَ جَمِيعًا وَانْتَبِذُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ عَلَى حِدَةٍ
. Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wine is made from these two trees—date and grape. Furthermore, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not prepare nabidh by mixing dates and raisins together; prepare nabidh by mixing unripe dates and ripe dates, but make nabidh from each of them separately.
