(Second narration) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari and Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with them both) as representatives towards Yemen and instructed them: Make things easy, do not make things difficult; give glad tidings, do not make people averse; and work together in agreement, do not differ with each other. Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! We are in a land where wine is made from honey, which is called "bit'", and wine is made from barley, which is called "mizr". The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every intoxicating thing is forbidden.
