Hadith 7480

عَنْ ضِرَارِ بْنِ الْأَزْوَرِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ بَعَثَنِي أَهْلِي بِلَقُوحٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَحْلِبَهَا فَحَلَبْتُهَا فَقَالَ دَعْ دَاعِيَ اللَّبَنِ
Sayyiduna Dhirar bin Azwar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Some of my family members sent me to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a milch she-camel. I brought it to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to milk it. Then he said: Leave (some) milk in the udder that will be a cause for (more) milk to come.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning of this hadith is that the one who is milking should leave some amount of milk remaining in the udders and should not squeeze them completely, because the milk that remains in the udders after milking will become a cause for more milk to descend, and if the udders are completely squeezed, the next milk will descend only after a considerable delay.
