Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a person from drinking water while standing. People said: We asked Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): Can we eat while standing? He replied: Eating while standing is even worse and more foul than this. According to Ibn Bakr, this act is even more wicked.
