عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ نَامَ وَفِي يَدِهِ غَمَرٌ وَلَمْ يَغْسِلْهُ فَأَصَابَهُ شَيْءٌ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sleeps while there is grease on his hand and he has not washed it, and then some harmful thing causes him harm, then he should only blame himself.

Benefits: … Islam is a collection of instructions based on compassion and goodwill. Islam finds it extremely displeasing that a Muslim should harm himself with his own hands. We should also consider this religion, which is truly worthy of a hundredfold pride, as a source of honor and greatness for ourselves, and live our lives according to its guidance.
