عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْكَافِرُ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ وَالْمُؤْمِنُ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ
Sayyida Maymunah bint Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The disbeliever eats with seven intestines, and the believer eats with one intestine.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In these blessed ahadith, excessive eating and overfilling the stomach have been prohibited. By eating less, not only is one in accordance with this hadith, but health and strength are also maintained. If all people were to agree to act upon this hadith, it is the consensus of the physicians and doctors that diseases would themselves disappear.
