It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution on the day of the conquest of Makkah and wiped over his socks. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: O Messenger of Allah! Today you have done something which you did not do before? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Umar! I have done this intentionally.
